HUHVO Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026

1. Who we are

HUHVO ("we", "us", "our") is operated by MEVVO AS.

HUHVO is the workspace for unreleased music: a web application where you store, organize, and securely share your songs, beats, demos, loops, samples, stems, and works in progress through shareable collections called Packs.

If you have questions about this policy, contact us our contact form.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. Passwords are stored in hashed form — we cannot see your plain-text password.

2.2 Your music and library content

This is the core of the Service. We store the audio files you upload (songs, beats, demos, loops, samples, one-shots, references, works in progress, and stems in formats such as WAV, MP3, or ZIP) along with the metadata attached to them: titles, BPM, musical key, genre, mood, tags, custom categories, artwork, and version history.

We analyze uploaded audio to extract technical metadata — tempo (BPM), musical key, duration, waveform data, and loudness — so features like automatic BPM/key detection, search, and tempo/pitch auditioning work. See section 4 for what we never do with your music.

2.3 Sharing activity

When you build Packs and create share links, we store your link settings: passwords, expiry dates, and download permissions.

We also log activity on your share links — link opens, track plays, and downloads — including per-recipient information where it is available. This analytics data is shown to you as the sender, so you can see what gets heard.

The reverse is equally true and worth stating plainly: if you open someone else's HUHVO share link, the person who shared it can see that you opened it and how you interacted with it (plays, downloads). Only open links you are comfortable being visible on.

2.4 Payment information

Paid plans are billed through our payment processor, Stripe. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We retain only what we need to manage your subscription: plan type, billing dates, and transaction references.

2.5 Technical and usage information

We automatically collect standard technical data needed to run the Service: IP address, device and browser type, pages and features used, and timestamps. We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in and remember your session.

3. How we use your information

We use the information above to:

  • operate the Service: store your library, play back audio, power search, filters, and organization;
  • perform the technical audio analysis described in section 2.2;
  • provide share-link analytics to senders as described in section 2.3;
  • process payments and manage subscriptions;
  • provide customer support and communicate about your account;
  • protect the security and integrity of the Service and enforce our Terms;
  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have opted in.

4. Your music and AI

Your unreleased music is the most sensitive thing you trust us with, so we state this explicitly:

  • We analyze audio only to extract the technical metadata needed to operate the Service (section 2.2).
  • We do not use your music to train generative AI systems capable of producing new music.
  • We do not license your music to third parties for AI training.
  • We do not build models designed to imitate your musical style.

If we ever wanted to use your content for generative AI training in the future, we would ask for your separate, explicit opt-in first.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

  • with service providers who help us operate the Service (e.g. cloud hosting, Stripe for payments), bound by confidentiality and data-processing obligations;
  • to comply with the law, such as a valid court order or lawful government request;
  • to protect rights and safety, including enforcing our Terms or addressing fraud and abuse;
  • in a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, where your information would transfer to the new operator under equivalent protections.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual tracks and Packs at any time inside the app.

To delete your account and all associated library content, send us a request our contact form from your account email. We will delete your content within 30 days of your verified request. Backups may retain copies for up to 90 days afterward, and we may retain limited records where the law requires it (e.g. transaction records).

7. Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit (TLS), access controls limited to personnel who need it, and hashed password storage. Share links can additionally be protected with passwords and expiry dates that you control.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and link-based sharing always carries residual risk: anyone you share with can re-share what they receive. Use passwords, expiry dates, and download controls according to how sensitive the material is.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Users in the EEA and UK have these rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR and may lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us our contact form. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

9. Children

HUHVO is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted at huhvo.com/privacy with its effective date. For material changes, we will notify you by email or inside the app before they take effect.
